This Just In ! - LGB Trains Forever is now active

Hi out there! Here we are, Klaus- Famous Klaus that is- blogging his mind away about LGB model trains. You know him already if you are a tried and true LGB fan. And here's more of him , from him, by him. Why him and not I? Well, he's so famous now- he has a ghost writer who sits right behind him all day long, listening to his expert advise and jotting it down onto this page for you LGB lovers.

There is so much going on right now in the LGB world: The Toy Fair is about to start in Nuremberg, Germany. Will LGB within Marklin survive? Interesting question- more blog about that later.

What we do know is- the new Mogul locos coming in from China were shipped to the dealers without the full styrofoam protection. No- not good. You can imagine what gets broken: snowplows, cowcatchers, hooks, buffers, siderods. Well, as Klaus always says: That CAN happen- but that MUST not happen...

Klaus himself is up to lots of new things LGB this year: First his seminars he is going to continue. There will be extensive information within a week from today on the Massoth webpage and somewhere here as well.

We will be talking about new products for you LGB railroaders out there. Products that keep your trains running, spare parts Klaus can make, spare parts other people have- yes like Walthers dealers.

We will talk about the everyday happenings on your layout- e.g. when you operate on an electrical layout and you have a 5Volt smoker operating and put 10 or 14 Volt on that poor smoker it will burn and smoke only one last time. And also watch when working with cables on your locos and cars. Keep track of the color coding before you disconnect cables so you get them back on correctly. If they are so old that the colors don't tell themselves anymore, take some color tape and mark them. Prevent burning your equipment with that simple trick. But do not fear - Klaus is here in case you burnt it anyway, he will repair/ reinstall/ restore your LGB train to old glory.

One more thing for today- please take a minute and email this blog to your friends and neighbors who love LGB as much as you do. And we would REALLY appreciate any comments to this blog, your ideas, your wishes for future subjects. BUT with your questions for service and advice- PLEASE call or email Klaus at as always usa@massoth.com.
